Learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health

In Touch runs two specialist schemes which offer support and accommodation to adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues in Kent.

Home improvement agencies (HIAs)

We have several home improvement agencies in Kent. The service usually supports older or disabled people who need a repair or adaptation to their home. Our aim is to help our clients maintain their independence, safety and dignity. The service can help you with things like:

  • organising repairs and adaptations (and funding in most cases)
  • making sure you are receiving the right benefits
  • some HIAs operate a handyperson service to do small jobs around the home
  • finding organisations that can help with other problems.
