Blease Court

Who do we help?

Blease Court is a specialist scheme in the New Forest which offers support and accommodation to young single homeless people.

The service supports vulnerable young people between 16 and 21 years of who are experiencing housing need and supports them to develop and improve their ability to live independently.

About the scheme

Blease Court can accommodate seven people at any one time and residents stay for up to two years. At the end of the two years residents are supported to make the move into independent accommodation in the local area and can be referred to other services to receive resettlement support in order to help this transition.

We have five self-contained flats and two bed sits, each with separate kitchen, bathroom and toilet facilities. Cookers and fridges are provided along with carpets and curtains. The scheme also has a communal laundry room and on site office.

Each resident has a support worker who they meet with regularly. How often this is depends on the individual and their needs. This is agreed at the beginning of the service and regularly reviewed.

Outside of support visits, residents can contact in touch Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm to receive extra advice or support.

We also maintain good links with specialist young peoples services in the area in order to provide extra, more specialist support.

We work with people to identify their needs and to find ways to achieve their goals. The support can focus on things like housing, health, money and community activities. This is agreed in a Personal Development Plan, which we regularly review with service users.

What next?

The support received at Blease Court will not cost you anything as it is paid for by the Supporting People Team at the New Forest District Council.

Old Bakery

Who do we help?

Old Bakery is a specialist scheme in New Milton in the New Forest area which offers support and move on accommodation to young single homeless people.

The service supports vulnerable young people between 16 and 25 years who are experiencing housing need and supports them to develop and improve their ability to live independently.

About the service

Old Bakery can support six people at any one time and residents stay for up to two years. At the end of the two years residents are supported to make the move into independent accommodation in the local area and can be referred to other services to receive resettlement support in order to help this transition.

New Forest Resettlement

Who do we help?

The New Forest Resettlement Service offers support to people living within the New Forest District Council area.

The service supports young single people under the age of 25 and is aimed at those moving on from one of our specialist schemes into independent accommodation. The service supports people to continue to develop and improve their ability to live independently following a period of living within a more supported environment.

About this service

Our service supports up to five people at any one time and lasts for a maximum of two years.

We operate from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. If you receive support from us you will meet with your support worker on a regular basis, how often will depend on your own individual needs. This is worked out at the beginning of the service and regularly reviewed.

Support workers can help with a wide range of areas including things like housing, health & money, resulting in completing an individual Personal Development Plans based on how the service user feels and what areas they would like support with.

We can work with people regardless of what kind of accommodation they live in for example council accommodation, private rented, housing association or even if the person is homeless.

What next?

You will not have to pay anything for this service as it is paid for by the Supporting People Team at the New Forest District Council.
