Who do we help?

In Touch run specialist schemes which offer support and accommodation to young adults within the London Borough of Greenwich; Anchor & Hope Lane, Vanbrugh Park, Vanbrugh Park Road, Wellington Mansions, Shooters Hill, St.Marks Hostel, Griffin Road, Rippon Road, Herbert Road and Devonshire Drive.

These services support young single homeless people between the age of 16 and 25 and encourage people to develop and maintain their ability to live as independently as possible.

About the schemes

The schemes can support a total of 71 people at any one time and residents stay for up to two years. At the end of this time they are supported to make the move into independent accommodation in the local area and may be able to receive some resettlement support to help this transition.

These schemes consist of various self contained flats and studios, some with communal areas. One scheme is supported 24 hours, some schemes have on site offices where staff are based at different times through the week and others receive visiting support.

If you receive support from us you will meet with your support worker on a regular basis, depending on your individual needs. This is worked out and agreed at the beginning of the service and regularly reviewed.

Outside of these support visits, residents can contact the team based at Anchor and Hope Monday to Sunday to receive extra advice or support.

We work with people to identify their needs and to find ways to achieve their goals. The support can focus on things like housing, health, money and community activities. This is agreed in a Personal Development Plan, which we regularly review with service users.

We maintain good links with specialist services in the area such as the local Social Services Team in order to provide extra, more specialist support.

What next?

The support received from in touch will not cost you anything as it is funded by the Supporting People Team at the London Borough of Greenwich.
