Who do we help?
Hennessey Court is a specialist scheme which offers support and accommodation to adults with ongoing mental health issues within the Sheerwater area of Woking in Surrey.
The service supports adults and is aimed at people who are experiencing housing need alongside an ongoing mental health issue. It encourages individuals to develop and improve their ability to live independently.
About this scheme
Hennessy Court is a long term service and supports four people in 4 one bedroom self contained flats. The scheme is within walking distance of the local shops, Health Centre and post office, and a short bus ride away from Woking town centre.
Each resident at Hennessey Court is assigned a support worker who meets with them regularly. How often this is will depend on people’s own individual needs. This is worked out and agreed at the beginning of the service and regularly reviewed.
Outside of these support visits, residents can contact in touch Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm to receive extra advice or support.
We maintain good links with specialist services in the area such as the Community Mental Health Team, Social Services and the Primary Care Trust, in order to provide extra, more specialist support.
We work with people to identify their needs and to find ways to achieve their goals. The support can focus on things like housing, health, money and community activities. This is agreed in a Personal Development Plan, which we regularly review with service users.
What next?
