East Hants Mental Health Floating Support Service
Who do we help?
The East Hants Mental Health Floating Support Service offers support to people living within the area south of Petersfield.
The service supports people over the age of 18 and is aimed at individuals who have an ongoing mental health issue and are experiencing a range of problems accessing or maintaining accommodation in their local community. It also supports service users to develop and improve their ability to live independently.
About the service
Our service supports two people at any one time and lasts for a maximum of two years.
We operate from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm. Service users receive support from us by meeting their support worker on a regular basis, depending on the individuals needs. This is agreed at the beginning of the service and regularly reviewed.
We work with people to identify their needs and to find ways to achieve their goals. The support can focus on things like housing, health, money and community activities. This is agreed in a Personal Development Plan, which we regularly review with service users.
We can work with people regardless of what kind of accommodation they live in for example council accommodation, private rented, housing association or even if the person is homeless.
