Progress Estate

Who do we help?

Progress Estate is a specialist scheme which offers support and accommodation to older people in the London Borough of Greenwich.

This service accommodates adults over the age of 60 with support needs and people are encouraged to develop and maintain their ability to live as independently as possible.

About the scheme

Progress Estate is a long term service and supports a total of 65 people. The scheme consists of self contained one bedroom flats within a larger estate and there is a sheltered housing officer based there.

Progress Estate is an independent living scheme, however extra support or care can be arranged from outside agencies if required. If this is needed referrals can be made by an in touch staff member.

Residents can contact in touch at the office, open Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, to receive extra advice or support. Outside these times Invicta offers a lifeline service providing 24 emergency support.

We work with people to identify their needs and to find ways to achieve their goals. The support can focus on things like housing, health, money and extra care or services that may be needed. This is agreed in an Independence Plan, which we regularly review with service users.

We maintain good links with specialist services in the area such as Community Nurses, chiropodists, district nurses, occupational therapists, Older People’s Community Assessment Team and the Community Mental Health Service in order in order to provide extra, more specialist support.

What next?

Depending on your circumstances the support received from in touch may not cost you anything as it is funded by the Supporting People Team at the London Borough of Greenwich.
