Social Inclusion

We want our clients to shape our service and anyone is welcome to get involved.

The opinions, insights and experiences of our customers influence our decisions and the kinds of services we provide. Locally a scheme and service manager may invite you to attend a meeting to discuss how things are run. At a county level we hold a quarterly forum. Here you can meet staff from different services and raise issues or be consulted. If you regularly attend a local forum and would like to be more involved in the way we run our organistaion, you can then volunteer to be on our Advisory Panel and share your views and experience with members of the Board and senior managers.

How do I get involved?

If you are interested in helping us in this way then the first step is to speak to a member of staff in your local area or contact the Social Inclusion Officer Ann-Maree Purnell on 07918 768626.

We can also help you:

    • Set up a tenants or community group
    • Find funding to run a project
    • Find out about training opportunities
    • Submit a story or picture into the magazine

Below is an example of a project that customers in Hampshire were involved in last year. A filmmaker joined a group of young customers to help them create their own animation exploring how they recovered from bullying and abuse that they had experienced.

For more information about how to set up or get involved in projects like this, speak to your support worker or contact Anne-Maree Purnell using the details above.
